Huge congratulations to Dr. Pravin Prasad on publication of a book titled “Fundamentals of Pharmacology for Nurses”, jointly edited by Dr. Prasad himself, Dr. Bindira Maharjan and Dr. Susmita Rasali. Dr. Prasad is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University (TU), as well as GlohMed’s investigator and executive member.
The firm foundation of this book is the authors’ rich teaching experience of more than ten years (pharmacology and nursing), combined with pragmatic feedback collected from students. Lead author Dr. Prasad states, “A unique aspect of this course book is that it has been customised to meet the requirements of Pharmacology practical curriculum for various nursing programmes within TU affiliated colleges”. Topics covered include emergency medicines, standing order, IV drug compatibility, drug dose calculation and so on.
