GlohMed Investigator Named as a Top Health Researcher in Nepal
We are proud to announce that a bibliometric analysis of highly cited papers (HCPs), published in the Journal of Nepal Health Research Council (Vaishya et al., 2024), has recognized GlohMed Director and Investigator Dr. Suraj Bhattarai as one of the most impactful researchers in Nepal. Dr Bhattarai achieved the title of the second highest impactful health researcher in Nepal based on the number of citations, with a Citation Per Paper (CPP) of 2880.11 and a Relative Citation Impact (RCI) of 13.01. Dr. Bhattarai’s research interests are in but not limited to global health and clinical research around maternal-newborn-child health, infectious & tropical diseases and health systems. This outstanding achievement reflects GlohMed’s dedication to advancing research and shaping the future of healthcare in Nepal and beyond.
Dr. Bhattarai’s publications are mostly affiliated to the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), United Kingdom, where he completed Taught Masters in Tropical Medicine and International Health in 2018 and pursues a Doctoral degree in Global Health at the Faculty of Infection & Tropical Diseases (2022-). Dr. Bhattarai’s LSHTM affiliated papers (HCPs) have entitled LSHTM as the most productive foreign institution to contribute to health research in Nepal.
