European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) Annual Meeting 2024, Copenhagen (Presentations)

GlohMed researchers participated in the 42nd Annual meeting of the ESPID, May 20-25, in Copenhagen, Denmark. ESPID Meeting is an annual gathering of clinicians and researchers from Europe and around the world who are dedicated to generating evidence through research and practice for the prevention of infectious diseases in children. Dr. Suraj Bhattarai, a Clinical investigator at GLOHMED and an ESPID Member since 2018 presented his work on ‘Outpatient antibiotic use for ARI and its relationship with quality of care in paediatric hospitals of Nepal’, whreas Ms. Jaya Dhungana, a Public health researcher at GLOHMED and a PhD scholar at Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS), presented a poster on ‘Perspectives of antibiotic use among paediatricians, parents and stakeholders: a qualitative research’. These presentations are ouputs of a study conducted by the Paediatric Antibiotic Stewardship Research Group Nepal in 2022. The 2024 ESPID Meeting took place at Bella Center, Copenhagen, where senior clinician-scientists and industry representatives presented recent updates in the field of PID, vaccines, and global health!
