Geneva Health Forum 2024, Geneva (Presentation)

GlohMed director and investigator participated in one of the key global health meetings in Geneva, Switzerland from 27-29 May. On behalf of the InterAcademy Partnership for Health (IAP) Young Physician Leaders (YPL) Alumni Steering Committee, Dr Suraj Bhattarai presented a poster at Geneva Health Forum (GHF), sharing findings of the committee-led global physicians survey- “Are Physicians Ready to Take up Leadership Roles in Planetary Health?”. The poster which is published online here, particularly attracted young scholars who represented different universities. This year’s event had three themes: One Health/Planetary Health, Migration Health and Equity, and Elimination of Malaria.

The Geneva Health Forum, established in 2006 by the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) and the University of Geneva (UNIGE), is a prominent platform for global health stakeholders to engage in dialogue and address pressing health challenges. This year’s GHF coincided with the 77th World Health Assembly (WHA), which provided a unique opportunity for cross-sector collaboration.

Dr Bhattarai also participated in a few side events of WHA as an invitee, and interacted with the members of the national delegations.
